The rooms were clean, and the proprietress handled things efficiently. The location inside the walls was convenient, but the narrow, twisting streets and steep parking spots made driving unpleasant. The listing said there was free parking, meaning it didn't cost anything, but the few spaces by the B&B were always occupied by local cars. I hope it was a one-time thing, but someone in the next room was smoking despite the law, and the smell hit us hard as soon as we stepped into the hallway.

Beatrice was quick to help with thoughtful travel advice, and I enjoyed the room's view of the courtyard. With the windows open, lovely soft music drifted in. Staying in this converted convent was a real pleasure.

We'd been told when booking and by email that parking was available onsite, or that we'd be directed to a nearby spot. When we showed the woman that every space was taken, she didn't say anything in English, just shook her head and walked off. It came across as very rude. We tried finding parking ourselves but couldn't get anything close, so we cancelled and left.

The room was basic but had what I needed and was clean. The place is practically in the center, and you can drive there without entering the restricted traffic zone (ZTL). Good value for the price.
