Casa Zeni

Casa Zeni is right in the center of Cortona, and we had everything we needed during our three nights there. Silvia made sure we were comfortable and showed us around the town square. I'd happily stay here again.

The bed was wonderfully soft, and the bedroom stayed dark and cool in summer, so we slept really well. This former monastery is close enough to walk to Piazza della Republica, yet away from the noise. Casa Zeni had everything we needed, including a washer, dishwasher, oven, and kitchen utensils. The hosts were quick to respond and shared tips and wine tasting discounts. We especially liked having herbs on the patio, a lovely spot for breakfast or a glass of wine. We didn't miss a thing and would gladly come back.

Silvia and Cristian welcomed me, showed me around the apartment, and explained how everything worked. It's centrally located in Cortona, an easy walk from everything, and was spotless, with a comfortable bed, a great shower, and all the facilities for cooking or doing laundry. They'd also left tea and coffee, bottled water, croissants, jam, Nutella, butter, and biscuits for check-in. Casa Zeni is a beautiful apartment with lovely hosts, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Cortona. Thanks, Silvia and Cristian. I look forward to staying with you again next year.

Silvia and Cristian even picked us up at the station when there were no taxis, then arranged for Enzo to take us back after our five nights. His Mercedes people mover was immaculate. Grazie mille! The apartment is small but perfect, beautifully restored, and in a fabulous spot. It had everything, including a washing machine and detergent, coffee machine and pods, and condiments. My only gripe, as someone in my mid-seventies, was that I couldn't see well enough to put on makeup. Maybe that was a bonus since I didn't wear any.
