I would give minus one star if I could. This was a truly miserable stay. The host was nasty and greedy, putting holiday guests next to longer term tenants to make as much money as possible, with grim results. I was next door to a young couple and their 8 month old baby, who howled and shrieked at all hours of the day and night. I barely slept during the few weeks I was there. The host, with help from her cunning side-kick agent, kept the full 2 months of my deposit. I also found out that she had put friends in the flat she was still charging me for, claiming I was still in my rental notice period. I've never come across anyone this cunning and greedy. The dishwasher leaked, a socket was broken, and plenty of other things were broken too. Two of the gas burners on the stove didn't work. When I raised these problems, the host said, "yeah well, nothing I am going to be in a rush to fix". Don't waste your time here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone visiting or otherwise staying in Cortona. There's so much choice in town, and you can do far better than this mess.

We found this an excellent agriturismo for a few days of real peace and relaxation. The facilities and hospitality were impeccable. Its location also makes it easy to visit several towns in Tuscany and Umbria.
