We spent a week here with family and friends, enjoying this beautiful part of the countryside in eastern Tuscany, away from the usual Italian beaches. The house was clean and well looked after. Our only wish was for a coffee machine suited to a larger group, though we learned that making coffee in small batches is more fun anyway. It’s a great base for sightseeing and visiting the lovely places around the region, with shops just minutes away. Cortona also has plenty of places to try delicious Tuscan food. The property had everything we needed for a relaxing few days. Thank you, Massimo, for being such a welcoming host. Highly recommended.

Dear Claudia and Massimo 💖, we miss you, the breakfasts, the laughs, hugs, and kisses, and especially the amazing place where we stayed. We had such a lovely, wonderful week in your guest rooms, and I don’t know how to thank you enough. The rooms were beautiful, and you made us feel so welcome, paying attention to every detail. You even arranged guidance and rides to and from the train, and while visiting the traveling market. Thank you for the Italian love songs 🎉🦋🎊 at breakfast and for taking care of so many of our requests and wishes with love. We also remember Leonardo Jr. taking us to the electronics store and supermarket. La Rogentina is an amazing place, accessible to stargazers, and with your help we got to know beautiful Tuscany. The setting looks like something from a movie, the food was perfect, and everyone made us feel like family. Claudia and Massimo were amazing hosts, as was their son Giacomo. We’ll definitely be back!

I’m a regular at Rugantina, and every visit is a lovely chance to relax and enjoy myself. Claudia looks after every detail with care and love. The rooms are simple, spotless, and immaculately maintained. The B&B is well placed for exploring Tuscany and Umbria, and Cortona is just a 5-minute drive away. Don’t miss dinner. The ingredients come from 45 meters away in their own garden. Breakfast has both sweet and savory choices, and there’s always fruit. I can’t wait to come back, recharge, and enjoy more quality time. Thank you!

We arrived hoping for a couple of peaceful days amid the beautiful Val di Chiana scenery, but after just a few hours we were asking whether we could stay longer. The place is welcoming, lovely, and clean, and its position on the border between Umbria and Tuscany makes it a handy base for seeing the area’s sights. Claudia and Massimo made us feel included and cared for. Breakfast was superb and the food was excellent. We also had dinner, sharing a table with the other guests and enjoying Claudia’s freshly made dishes. It was a pleasant evening together beneath the villa’s patio, in a magical atmosphere. Our expectations were met and then some.
