We brought our cat, which meant some rooms weren’t available to us, but we were still very happy with our big, spotless room. It had a balcony, bath and shower, lots of storage, and a kettle. Animals are allowed in some rooms by arrangement. From our first phone call and emails, everything was efficient, friendly and professional. The spa was excellent, very clean, and had a lovely pool. It was easy to get there, with a towelling robe, towels and even a bag provided for carrying them. Staff were all smiling, helpful and knowledgeable. Food was great, with buffet antipasto followed by choices from an interesting set menu, and breakfast was excellent. We liked having the same seats for breakfast and dinner throughout our stay, since it made it easy to chat with the people around us and maybe join them for a walk or bike trail. The local tourist offices in nearby towns coordinate guided walks, and the hotel can help you find the link. Fees are heavily discounted with the Alti Badia Guest Code provided by Posta Zirm. We stayed longer in 2025 and found everything just as good. Special thanks to Eduardo, our waiter, for his courteous, attentive service at every meal. We also really enjoyed the guided walk arranged by the hotel. It was fun and informative. We loved it so much after our first three-night visit that we’re looking into coming back for Christmas.

The scenery around the area was spectacular, and the location made it easy to get around Badia, up to Ortesei and down to Cinque Torres. This is a very good family-run four-star hotel, not the fanciest, but it delivers what you’d expect from that rating. The room was comfortable and clean, with a good bed, good internet and strong shower pressure. It also had two bathrooms. One smelled bad when we arrived, but they fixed it pretty quickly. Service was very good at check-in and during meals. We did have some trouble getting our luggage to and from the room. There’s no valet parking, but you can park your own car. The gym wasn’t very useful, though with hiking and skiing nearby, who needs one?

Silvia, the owner, is one of the nicest people you could meet. The staff, food and spa are all top notch. What an amazing hotel, highly recommended!
