Chalet Plan Gorret

We ate here twice while staying in Courmayeur, and the service was fantastic both times. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I asked for a suggested dish to be changed to suit me, and they did everything they could to get it right. Thanks, Sara. The place is tucked into the forest above town, and there were lots of spaces in the car park.

Dinner was a remarkable experience, with Sardinian tradition and know-how coming through in the food. The homemade breads and cake at breakfast were lovely, and you could have eggs the way you liked them, plus fresh juices. Rosanna, Paola’s mother, made homemade Sardinian pastas that were delicious, beautiful in shape, and really unique. We followed Paola’s advice and everything worked out perfectly. The chalet felt like a fairy tale from the moment we arrived. It’s a little wooden place among woods and mountains, and the view from our room late at night, with moonlight on the white mountains, was astonishing. The staff were all so kind and attentive. Our two-year-old little girls adored everything and everyone. Paola’s beautiful, kind energy really brightened our stay, and Nicola and the rest of the team were always helpful. Giovanni was adorable, with kind advice and an impeccable breakfast. It was my birthday, and I couldn’t have imagined a better gift than spending it here with my family ♥️

The staff gave us such warm service, and the breakfast buffet was a dream for refueling on our TMB rest day. My cousins and I stayed at this heart-themed chalet. It’s up a hill, but the free shuttle runs hourly. Road construction meant the bus could only take us partway, unfortunately. Laundry cost 8 euro for 5kg, cheaper than the lavanderia, though the washer didn’t clean our clothes to American standards. We also wouldn’t recommend room 106 if you want to shower. The curtain rod is at a strange 45 degree angle because of the sloped ceiling, but the curtain isn’t cut to fit, so you end up standing on it while showering.

The morning breakfast was just right before heading back out on the TMB. I stayed here during the hike, and it’s conveniently right off the standard route. There’s a free town shuttle too, which makes getting around easy.
