Hotel Astoria

We needed somewhere to stay at the last minute after a booking mistake elsewhere, and the staff at the Astoria were a big help. Our room had a lovely view from the balcony, though it would have been nice to have chairs out there so we could sit and enjoy it. Breakfast came with a good range of food and drinks, and the staff kept the dishes replenished and were there to help.

For a 3* hotel, this is really good, and the breakfast was decent. Ennio, who was in charge while we were there, was a gem and very helpful. He also makes amazing hot chocolate. Sorry if I’ve misspelled his name.

I stayed here last summer and really loved it, even though I’m only getting around to writing this now. It was cozy, clean, and comfortable, and felt very family friendly. The staff were SO lovely and took care of every single thing we needed. Thank you so much.

Hotel Astoria in La Palud was a peaceful place to unwind during the low season, when it was wonderfully quiet. We loved the spacious, well-appointed room and the care in the decor, though the rustic look can make parts of the property seem a little worn. Keeping a place like this up must be difficult. The spa, meal area, and grounds were lovely, and the e-bikes were much nicer than the basic ones you often find. Parking was easy, either for a fee in the garage or free right beside the property. We were made to feel at home from the moment we arrived, and the service was impeccable. The hotel is also close to Courmayeur, which made it a convenient base for exploring the area. The view of Mont Blanc each morning was breathtaking, and the quiet surroundings made the stay feel even more restful. We had an unforgettable time and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, peaceful stay near Courmayeur. I think we’ll be back for years to come, from the US.
