We found Hotel Meublé Laurent to be a clean, welcoming place, with staff who were attentive and seemed to genuinely care about guests’ comfort. That hospitality really stood out. Its central location makes it easy to explore the area, whether you’re going for a hike or wandering the quaint streets, and there are lovely mountain views around town. Breakfast was quite good for a 3-star hotel, with enough variety for a pleasant start to the day. A cozy, friendly place to stay. Highly recommended.

Basic rooms, but clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, with great coffee, and the staff were friendly. We had several vegans in our group, and they adjusted breakfast for them. The hotel has a quirky, traditional Alpine look and is centrally located, with secure underground parking. There are lots of bars and restaurants nearby, including an excellent pizzeria across the road. Guests can also use the modern sauna and Hamman steam room.

The location worked well for us: it’s about a 2-3 minutes’ uphill walk to Via Roma, Courmayeur’s main pedestrian street, and around 600 meters to the main gondola for the ski area. There’s a Carrefour mini supermarket a minute away and plenty of restaurants nearby. The family-run hotel staff were friendly and helped us book restaurants and decide what to see and do, so I’d recommend Meuble Laurent if you’re going to Courmayeur. We stayed a few nights in February 2016 after booking online on booking.com. We came by rental car and parked in the courtyard, though there’s also a garage, handy in snowy weather. Check-in was quick, but we didn’t get much information at first. That wasn’t a big problem, as we got it later and there was a booklet in the room. We had room 7 on the first floor, a corner room overlooking Courmayeur and the ski slopes. It seemed to be two rooms joined together, so there was plenty of space: a king-size bed at one end, a single at the other, and a large stool that we later found could turn into another bed. The room felt cozy, with wood-paneled walls, a small desk, little benches under the window, a wardrobe, and a chest of drawers. Large radiators kept it warm. The bed was firm and I slept well, though my wife wasn’t as happy with it. There was a good duvet. Wi-Fi was free and fine for browsing. I registered with my Facebook account and was online within a minute, though you have to reactivate it if your device has been idle for a few minutes. The bathroom was decent, with white tiles on the walls and floor, but not many amenities, so I was glad I’d brought shampoo and soap. The shower was good for a warm wash after a day on the slopes. It was a bit cold in the bathroom, although there was a heated towel rack. The towels were very thin, and thicker, fluffier ones would have been nice. Breakfast was OK, with a small choice of croissants, pain au chocolate, fruit, cereal, boiled egg, bread, yoghurt, and other items. As usual in Italy, the coffee was great and strong. The buffet is on the ground floor, along with a small lounge and reception.

We had a perfect stay at Hotel Meuble Laurent. The hostess was exceptionally kind, the rooms were clean and fully equipped, and the location couldn’t be better.
