Residence Emile Rey

We loved being in an old, quiet village, away from the bustle, with splendid mountain views. The inconvenience of having a car felt minor by comparison. La Saxe is close to Courmayeur's center, about a 10-minute walk, and after two weeks in this lovely residence we had a great time. Apartment number 2 was clean and had a well-equipped kitchen, with pots and pans in good condition, plus a microwave and kettle. The village roads are narrow, as you'd expect in an old place, so you have to adapt. A medium-sized 4x4 is best. Otherwise, you can leave the car in the large lot at the entrance before going up, or park on Grand Rue, which leads into the village and has other lots along it. Loredana and Piero, the owners, were kind, reliable, and helpful. If we get the chance to return to Courmayeur, we'll definitely stay at the Emile Rey residence again.

We liked it so much that we booked another weekend before leaving. The residence is beautiful, well kept, peaceful, tidy, and warmly furnished with a romantic feel. There are different kinds of rooms, some with a garden or terrace. It's well suited to families, and the price includes bed linens, towels, and housekeeping. The owners are welcoming and helpful, and there is plenty of parking nearby. You can walk to groceries, and there are lots of restaurants to choose from, each seemingly better than the last. Well worth a visit.

We had a lovely week here with our one-year-old. The residence is welcoming and sits in a very peaceful spot, yet the center is nearby, just a pleasant short walk away. Prices were reasonable, and Piero and Loredana were kind and very helpful. We'll definitely return.

The hosts picked us up when we arrived by bus at Piazzale Monte Bianco, and even offered to take us back. Throughout my three-night stay, they helped with everything we needed and responded promptly and efficiently. The home was meticulously maintained and had every comfort.
