The room and bed were comfortable in size, but I still can't understand how this place has four stars. We weren't even there in high season, yet the hotel felt stressful: it's very large, noisy, has lots of rules, and I couldn't rest. The main street nearby brings a lot of noise. Check-in was very late and check-out early. At breakfast, waiters were rushing around; at 9:55 am, five minutes before breakfast ended, they took my plate from right in front of me while pointing to the clock. The hotel says it's pet friendly, but only for dogs up to 10 kg. They charge €20 a day for a dog, probably saying extra cleaning is needed, which I can understand, but they didn't do that extra daily cleaning in our case. They didn't even refill the toilet paper. Prices are already very high, and everything costs extra: €15 per day for parking in an overcrowded lot by the street, €20 per day for a dog up to 10 kg, and €18 per person for one hour of pool or sauna access per day. There weren't enough towels for the spa, so they gave me a bathrobe. I wanted to use the sauna, but what was I supposed to do in there with a bathrobe and no towel? Breakfast was poor, with old, dry sausages, dry focaccia, no vegetables, and dirty plates and forks.

The food was disappointing, and the staff were unhelpful throughout our stay. We had to ask the two men at reception five or six times before we got bathrobes. When we raised problems, the receptionist asked why we wanted to move rooms, then said nothing could be done. After some arguing, we were promised different rooms the next day, but that never happened, and we didn’t get our money back. We’d booked two double executive rooms with breakfast for four people, paying about €2,100 in advance by December 20, 2025, for a six-day trip in January 2026. Before paying, we tried calling to ask about meals and the spa, but couldn’t get clear answers and had to wait in a queue to reach anyone. The photos they sent didn’t match the rooms we got, either. The two rooms were very different in size. Ours was tiny, on the sixth floor under a sloped roof, split across two levels, and uncomfortable for two people with luggage. It was 28°C inside, and lowering the heat didn’t work. There was a balcony, but it felt like a nightmare to me. Anyone afraid of heights should avoid this room, and I’d be worried about children being on that balcony. Our vacation got off to a really bad start.

The hotel team were very friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient for both the ski lifts and the Sky Way to Mont Blanc. Breakfast and dinner were good, too. The spa is small but pleasant, and there’s a doctor available in the evening.

The location is beautiful, and the pool was great. Some of the pool staff were kind, though a few other employees were rude. Sadly, the rest of our six-day stay was a letdown, and this may be the worst hotel I’ve stayed in so far. We paid €35 per person for dinner, but there was very little to eat. We found a small restaurant near the police station instead, and the food there was delicious. Our airport transfer had also been arranged in November 2025, with our departure time clearly given, but the vehicle showed up about half an hour early. When we asked to change the time, we were told someone else had already booked it, so we had to wait for a bus at the station. The room was shockingly small, on the sixth floor, and had a balcony that felt unsafe. The website hadn’t mentioned it was split across two levels, which made the cramped space harder to manage. We were also missing towels and slippers. Even after asking several times for them to be brought to the room, we kept having to remind staff. I hope the hotel improves its facilities and service, because the setting is fabulous. I’d read their replies to other reviews promising improvements, but we didn’t see those issues addressed during our visit.

For the price, the room was genuinely good value in Courmayeur. Breakfast was strong on the sweet options, though the savory choices felt limited. I wanted an omelet and was told it cost extra. And, haha, there was so much olive oil used to fry an egg, basically a lagoon of it. I know Italians love olive oil, but that seems unnecessary and unhealthy. At the pool they charge for a swimming cap, but don’t check whether people are wearing one. Lots of guests hadn’t paid, so paying felt pointless. Honestly, they should drop the requirement. I haven’t seen other hotels require or charge for one. We also had a confusing moment at breakfast when some of the guys rudely told us our table was reserved. There were no signs, so we couldn’t have known. Another server handled it much more smoothly. Special thanks to the guy from Peru, who was friendly, spoke English really well, and knew what he was doing. Thanks!
