Park Hotel Residence

The room was awful. I was bitten by bed bugs overnight, and there were more bugs crawling on the floors and in the room corners. There were spiders everywhere, and the floors were really dirty. When we asked for a refund because of the bed bug bites, they refused. Don’t go there!

This was the worst hotel we’ve checked into in Europe. The room made it feel like we were sleeping outside, even though the hotel had recently been renovated. Air conditioning could only be controlled remotely by reception, and when it was set to 30 degrees, most of our group still slept in down coats. The in-room service line was always busy. When I called from my own phone to ask about local food delivery or the room temperature, they kept telling me to come to reception for help. Day shift receptionists were better than the night shift one, but that doesn’t make the whole experience worth what we paid. You have to carry all your luggage up stairs to reach the lobby for check-in, which was devastating and depressing after a day out. There are more stairs inside the building, and the hotel is made up of three buildings connected by glass doors without enough guidance. The elevator has no screen showing which floor you’re on.

The breakfast was good, but the stay wasn’t a great experience. The hotel is well situated, though it feels really old inside and out. There were lots of scratches on the walls and furniture, and the bathroom was very old too.

Our room was clean, tidy, and fairly spacious. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location is fairly central to everything.
