We’re already planning to come back next year, even though we’re still here. There’s more to do than you might expect: you can walk by the lake, cross fields into the village, or use the hotel’s mountain bikes. The train station is a 15-minute walk up the road, handy if you want to stay in Merone and travel around by train. Andrea’s grandfather opened the restaurant more than 100 years ago, and Andrea has expanded it into a little piece of heaven. The hotel is beautiful and smells lovely throughout. Our room was spacious and clean, with the softest towels. The scenery is lovely too, with a river, fields, trees and mountains in the distance. There’s a big swimming pool, and breakfast was generous, with hot and cold options as well as gluten-free food. The restaurant serves lovely food, and the staff make you feel at home as soon as you arrive. I’m so happy I picked this place. It’s been an amazing experience. Thank you everyone, you’re doing an amazing job.

A peaceful, relaxing place with a lot of history, and a handy base near Como or Milan if you like quiet surroundings. Breakfast was great, there’s a good restaurant close by, parking felt safe, and the staff were very friendly.
