There’s plenty to explore within about a 30-minute drive, with villages and lakes nearby. We also enjoyed the local bar for a drink or ice cream, and the village chapel was unexpectedly beautiful inside. The pastor even offered us an impromptu tour during that week’s festivities, showing us hidden rooms and special treasures and relics. Back at Green Lodge, the hostess was always happy to help with anything we needed. The villa is spacious and newly furnished, with good air conditioning and beds made up before we arrived. Our kids took over the basement, leaving us to relax downstairs among the armchair, sofa, and plenty of chairs. Upstairs there’s another lovely bathroom and comfortable beds. The garden is green and well kept, with a nice front terrace and French doors. The window screens kept insects out. A fantastic place to unwind, and we’ll certainly come back.

The staff were friendly and very professional. The farmhouse apartment had all the comforts we needed to feel at home, and it’s conveniently close to Bogogno Golf Club and Lakes Maggiore and Orta.
