Re Mare B&B

Francesco was a huge help when I ran into a serious car problem, and he helped me sort it out quickly. He’s also always around with ideas for excursions, places to see, and somewhere to eat. Re Mare B&B is right by beautiful Campione beach, only a few meters away, with access for B&B guests by a private road, either on foot or by car. The rooms were spotless and had every comfort. I’ve stayed at several B&Bs in Italy and abroad over the last 20 years, and this one would be my top choice. I hope I can come back soon.

That red-sand beach is small and quiet, nearly empty even in high season. You can take the car there, though the walk is lovely too, peaceful and full of scents. The apartment’s terrace looks out over the sea, with a beautiful view at any hour, especially with coffee in the morning or wine as the sun sets. The place feels carefully put together, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Mornings came with fresh-baked cakes and aromatic coffee. Francesco is warm and smiling, and there when you need him without hovering. We felt like friends from our first meeting, and his kindness made the apartment feel like home. It was a real chance to rest, away from crowds and noise. We loved our stay and know we’ll return. Thank you, Francesco, for the care and warmth you put into this special place.

There’s a great restaurant next door, with good food. The beach access feels almost private, and there are practically no people there; you can drive down as well. It’s the quietest place we’ve ever stayed, and works for adults and children alike. My son was thrilled, so we’ll definitely come back next time. I recommend it if you want to get away from crowds.
