I travel often and can usually adapt, so I took a long time to decide whether to write this. Still, I've never been met with such rudeness and arrogance, and it made for an unpleasant experience. The attic room itself was acceptable, though it's on the third floor with no elevator, something I only found out when I arrived. There were expired items in the fridge, presumably left by a previous guest, and generally little care or oversight. Maybe those things should be cleared out and attention put into offering a decent breakfast. There was no POS, and the view faced another building. I'll leave it there, and please don't reply. The way you respond to other reviews says enough about your attitude. Sarzana is beautiful and I'll return to the town, just not here.

A pity, because the place itself is attractive and right in central Sarzana. It's in the restricted traffic area, though, and finding secure parking is hard. When we asked the owner about it, she answered rudely that parking was our responsibility, despite having assured us when booking that convenient, secure parking was available. The laundry bags stayed in the lounge and breakfast area for our whole visit, the recycling hadn't been taken out, and the fridge had an opened bottle of juice with some left in it.

The place has potential, but the welcome was awful and the person running it came across as rude and arrogant. You have to pay cash because there's no POS terminal. When I asked for a receipt, the woman said she only gives invoices to people with VAT numbers, and complained while doing so. I've never been in a situation like that. There's no customer service, and breakfast is at a nearby bar, with a €3.50 charge per guest, which is ridiculous. I really can't recommend it.

Never again. We were put in a room separate from the main building, and there wasn't even a bottle of water. It hadn't been cleaned well. The toilet wouldn't flush properly, and the bathroom had no window and a broken extractor fan. Instead of a regular sink there was a laundry tub, with nowhere to set a toothbrush. Both the main entrance and front door keys were so stiff that opening the doors took several tries, and I worried the keys might snap inside. For breakfast, he gave us each a €3.50 café voucher. My husband got pasta, a cappuccino, and orange juice for €6.40, while I ended up with nothing. 🤦‍♀️ He also said there was no POS and cash was the only option.
