The free parking near the hotel was a huge plus in Sirmione. In March, during the off-season, it was a quiet place to stay, and some apartments and the restaurant terrace have spectacular lake views. It’s about a 40-minute walk to the old town, so not really close unless you’re up for that walk. For the price, the stay was satisfying. Check-in and the cold outdoor pool were at other nearby hotels. The ceiling in our top-floor apartment was a bit low for someone who’s 6 ft, so I had to watch my head, but it wasn’t a problem.

The location is fantastic, and the service, food, and breakfast were all good. The beds were too hard for my personal preference, but it was a pleasant stay overall and affordable.

The sun terrace was the best part for me. There’s lake access, where you can enjoy Aperol Spritz, pizza, and music in the background. The atmosphere is relaxed, and the place was very clean and well maintained. The location by the lake is nice, and the staff were wonderful and helpful. The bar area is reasonable too. Some rooms are quite basic and don’t have balconies, and I’d say they’re overpriced for what you get. Still, there’s plenty to like.

Sergio was a charming host. On a rainy evening he helped us reserve a restaurant before we’d even thought to ask. The staff were excellent, and everything ran very smoothly. It’s a small hotel in a nice location, with private parking, which matters a lot in that area.

The breakfast was nice, and we enjoyed sunbathing on the terrace. Check-in and parking were super easy, and everything else was very nice too. One thing Americans may not expect is that the hotel doesn’t provide towels for the lake. We had to go out and buy some. Bring a sheet to lie on the ground if you want to swim. We had a great stay and would come back!
