We had a great visit in February, with friendly and helpful staff, varied breakfast and a stunning lake view from our room. The beds were excellent for a good night's sleep. I appreciated the birthday email from the hotel, though a small sweet surprise in the room would have made it feel more personal. Still, we were very satisfied and had a lovely time.

We stayed one night and had a pleasant visit. The hotel and our room were very clean, and breakfast offered plenty of good options.

The hotel was clean and very welcoming, with a great location and superb value. Breakfast was plentiful, and we really enjoyed it. Thanks to all the staff for a memorable stay. I’d happily recommend the place to family and friends. 😊

The little balcony was a nice place to sit in the evening, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, which matters in hot weather, and the small outdoor pool was clean and refreshing. Breakfast was the weak spot. It wasn't replenished as food ran out, so by 9:00am there was very little left, sometimes just soggy bits of bacon. Get there by 8:15 if you want a choice. The pool area can also be lively, with lots of families and “Brits abroad with kids.” Hotel Riel is a dependable, no-frills three-star stay. It met expectations for the category and seemed like decent value for budget-conscious travelers, though there are a few things that could be better.

The host made us feel at home, and breakfast had a delicious range of things to choose from. Our place was comfortable, clean, and well located for exploring both Sirmione and the lake. We loved our stay and would happily return. Highly recommend!
