Pittinuri was excellent.
We loved the meals here, especially Daniela's daily dishes made with local ingredients. Breakfast was satisfying, too, and there was plenty of food. Our bungalow was roomy and nicely furnished, with a fridge and its own terrace, and the nuraghe shape made it charming. Set among olive trees, the farmhouse is well placed for beach trips and walks along the cliffs. It's also a good base for hiking in the mountains and visiting the best beaches on the Sinis coast. A lovely spot for a relaxing break. We'll be back.
The pitch worked very well for our one night, and the restrooms were clean. The food was why we came, though, and it was a letdown compared with the photos. Maybe the off-season had something to do with it. The pasta was very good, but after that we got bread with bratwurst, salad, and vegetables, followed by melon. There was no cheese, olives, or grilled pork. I would have gladly paid a bit extra for a better meal. What a shame.
The service was really friendly, even though we don't speak the language very well. The meal was excellent, and we enjoyed the water and wine, fruit, coffee, limoncello, and grappa. Kudos to the chef. All of that was 25 euros per person. Great job, keep it up!
We felt completely at ease here, with so much peace and quiet and welcoming hosts. The food is definitely worth ordering. It's only five minutes to the beach, and if you ask, you can buy groceries straight from the owners. One of the loveliest places in Sardinia. We'll definitely return. Thanks so much.
