Eden Boutique Hotel

The dinners were the standout for us: each night brought a delicious four-course menu from the owners' son, who trained at some famous restaurants. It began with bread and spreads, included antipasti, and ended with a cheese selection. The only awkward bit was eating in the breakfast room next to the reservation-only restaurant. Tables are close, so you hear other conversations and everyone seemed to lower their voices. By our second evening we'd settled in, ordered wine, and enjoyed it. Breakfast had enough choice, though it stayed much the same each day. Our room was huge, very clean and seemingly new, with a massive comfortable bed, a large TV with lots of international channels, and a decent-sized safe. From the balcony we could relax and look over the lake. The spa downstairs has a sauna looking out through a large window over a lovely meadow, plus a steam bath that felt great after hiking. The staff were friendly from check-in, and got warmer as the stay went on. The owner helped us choose hiking routes and asked each morning how things were going. The hotel is just a few metres above the north end of Lake Resia, a great base for hiking, kite surfing, or taking in the scenery. It is also right by the busy main road from Austria through this part of Italy toward Merano and beyond. Closed balcony doors kept the noise out; since we like to sleep with them open, earplugs would have helped. Thanks for a lovely stay.

On our way from Austria through Italy and back to Switzerland, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality here. The place feels elegant, quiet, and refined, with lovely materials that seem like new. We especially liked that there were no children or animals. Even though the hotel is on the main road, the sound insulation meant we heard no traffic. Great food and location, and a beautiful view. We'll definitely return and recommend Eden to friends and family.

We've been coming back for five years. The renovation feels modern and elegant, and the sauna is great after a long day on the slopes. Everything is perfectly clean, and the food is excellent.

At the end of active days along Lago di Resia, it was lovely to come back to stylish, new rooms and excellent half-board. The menus changed every day, with something even a picky eater like me could enjoy. We had an amazing week at Eden.
