Excellent.

The total for two came to €31, according to the receipt: we chose the €14 basic set menu and the €17 option with dessert. That's fantastic value for the area. It was the kind of simple, welcoming village trattoria where the owners are friendly and the atmosphere feels genuinely Mantuan. We tried the sausage risotto with plenty of grated cheese, well-browned white lasagna that was chewy, and pike in oil, lemon, garlic, and parsley, which tasted light and fresh. The slow-cooked pork ribs were tender with herbs and a tasty sauce. Roast potatoes had crisp outsides and soft centers, and the sautéed spinach was full of flavor with a generous dusting of parmesan. We finished with a delicious bignolata (bignolata) and coffee. Everything was carefully cooked, with good ingredients and that homemade flavor. It's traditional Mantuan food without frills, but with plenty of genuine taste. A hearty, affordable lunch option near Mantua, perhaps after a walk to the Santuario delle Grazie or along the lake.

We had a lovely stay at this hotel and restaurant. The staff were polite, kind, and cheerful, always ready with a smile. The food was excellent, the location was good, and room service was good too. Thank you all.

The restaurant is simply furnished, with lovely drawings decorating the walls. The staff were friendly, and the pumpkin ravioli was delicious. The sbrisolona was very good too.
