La Ratatouille Agriturismo

We spent Easter Monday having lunch at the farmhouse with two families and five children, and the owner looked after us so well. The atmosphere was welcoming, with a level of attention and care you don't often find. We loved the food: simple, authentic and high-quality. Thanks for making the holiday so enjoyable.

The drive there takes you through a wooded area on a winding, very narrow road, though it was well maintained, so take it slowly. There aren't any signs, and we wouldn't have found the place without Google Maps. The location and route are marked correctly on the map, but bring a GPS or a phone and call ahead. We visited the stables and saw the horses, which looked very well cared for. A friendly employee was feeding them and showed us around. He said lunch, parties and picnics are available by reservation, and horseback riding for children aged 4 and up can be arranged with a professional trainer to guide and teach them. We didn't try any of those services, and hadn't known about the restaurant, but the visit left a great impression. We promised ourselves we'd come back.

I've known the ladies at the "little ranch" for a while, though I've never stayed there myself. The setting in the Ligurian Langhe is beautiful, and their hospitality is wonderful. They make fabulous cakes, and also offer walks on the Napoleonic and other trails. The service is excellent in every way. Keep it up, ladies!

The horses are fantastic, and the instructor is excellent and professional. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the place works for all ages, including families with kids and pets. It's surrounded by greenery and really beautiful. If we could give six stars, we would! ;)
