August 2015. We booked apartment 2 for a week, but when we arrived the owner put us in corner apartment 1, saying it was his preferred one. We quickly learned why. More than 20 people were staying in apartment 3, which was meant for fewer than 10, as a young girls' volleyball team was being hosted there. The noise started with a gathering Sunday afternoon. Dinner was at 10 pm, and the racket carried on past midnight, especially when some of the group went home. In the mornings the girls took over the pool, and dinner was late and loud again. The whole building carries noise, even from an apartment in between. Their dog also kept coming into our place and running around wildly. We spoke to them several times and complained to the owner, especially about the night noise, but nothing changed all week. When we left, all the owner said was, “I'm sorry!” We'll never return to this horrible place. The maintenance and cleanliness weren't good either. The pool shower head was broken and stayed that way during our visit. The bedroom doors scraped the floor and wouldn't close properly, and the shower and sink drains were nearly blocked. Kitchen equipment wasn't very clean, including a grubby coffee machine and dish drainer. A dishwasher would help.

Lovely surroundings and a really friendly host. A perfect place to stay.

We had a nice time there.
