A low-price hotel with high-quality food. We focused on the rice dishes for our meal, and they were all excellent. Breakfast was just as good. The young staff were cheerful, polite, and really helpful.

The risottos are the highlight, with plenty of choices and each one well prepared, flavorful, and just the right size. They also have an appetizer buffet and a tasting menu at a good price, so it works well for business lunches or dinner with friends. There’s a nice little shop next door selling products from the owners’ farm. The restaurant sits at the foot of the castle in the province of Vercelli. It seems to have been renovated recently and feels welcoming and quaint, with genuinely comfortable chairs. Service is friendly and attentive, and they accommodate food intolerances. As a member of the Associazione Italiana Celiac, it offers a good gluten-free menu. The downside is dessert: the only option is rice cream, which is a shame. Recommended!

After dinner with friends nearby, we took the chance to stay at Oryza. Fabio and Michela were welcoming and helpful, and the castle right opposite gives the place a fantastic atmosphere. The room was quaint and had all the comforts, but what stood out most was how impeccably clean it was. A great spot to relax if you're in the area. 💯
