The room was large and clean, though the bathroom felt a little dated. The blanket was a complete disaster. Who thought that was comfortable? Breakfast was just ordinary, neither good nor bad. The person at reception the next day was friendly and helpful. The first day was more frustrating: there’s no airport shuttle, despite what the hotel’s name led us to expect, and we were offered a taxi for €20 for a 1.7 km trip 😅. Reception charged the tourist tax, which was right, but didn’t tell us we needed to register on the city portal to avoid paying for the city pass. There’s no indication on the bill of what we actually paid, and now we’re facing a possible city penalty. Not a pleasant experience.

The bus stop nearby was the only good point. I chose this hotel because it advertised a shuttle, but I was treated badly and wouldn’t recommend staying here. We were told on our first visit that shuttle rides had to be scheduled in advance, though our flight was in the evening. The staff were rude and didn’t care to explain things. The night employee wouldn’t add us after we arrived past midnight, saying the shuttle had to be booked by 21:00. That should have been made clear in the reservation or email. In the morning, I learned the shuttle also cost €15. As a Diamond Select member, I’ve never been treated this poorly.

The receptionist was so nice to us, and they gave us a big room. The buffet breakfast was amazing, the best I had during my whole trip to Italy. I’d missed having eggs and ham for two weeks 🤌🏽.

Breakfast starts at 4:30am, which is handy for an early flight. The airport is five minutes away by bus, and buses come pretty often. It takes about 40 minutes to get to Venice by bus. Staff were welcoming and helpful too. A good fit for a short Venice trip.

Diletta at the front desk made our arrival feel welcoming and check-in smooth and stress-free. She was so cheerful and friendly, and her efficiency and warm manner set the tone for my stay. She went out of her way to make sure everything was right. Outstanding service, and a real asset to the Best Western Titian Inn Hotel near the Venice Airport. Highly recommend it.
