Alla Vigna - Room Only

The room looked even better than in the photos, and everything was clean with no damp smell, even though we were on the ground floor with channel views. Check-in was easy and the location was great. We really enjoyed the stay and will definitely come back.

We had a ground-floor room with canal views and a beautiful stone bathroom. There was good air-conditioning, a fridge, and tea-making facilities, and the attractive room was nicely decorated. It’s room-only accommodation by a canal, an easy 15-minute walk from St Mark's Square. The property itself was nice, but the service made for a stressful start. We filled out the pre-check-in forms in advance and got no instructions. The place was locked when we arrived, and it took an hour of calls, WhatsApps, and emails to get inside. It then took two nights to get a fourth pillow for the two of us, and there was no TV remote.

It’s easy to walk from the Ospedale pier to Alla Vigna, which gives tourists a chance to relax more. The surroundings are quiet, and most Venetian locals come here for walks. Our room was right over the water. There was a water boiler and fridge, handy for storing food and making tea or coffee. Customer service was friendly and quick to respond, and the check-in information was clear, so everything went smoothly. Highly recommended!

This is a nice, old hotel, built 500 years ago and renovated inside, with a pleasant view of the channel. The B&B is a bit remote and overpriced, though that seems true of everything in Venice. Breakfast was somewhat basic. On the plus side, the rooms are large and comfortable, the beds are comfortable, and the bathroom has been renovated. You get a channel view if you’re lucky enough to have a room facing it.
