Hotel Albergo Al Cacciatore

We had the rooftop room to ourselves, with direct access to the terrace. It was a good-sized, very clean room, and the air conditioning kept up even when it was over 40 degrees. The terrace had a small plunge pool, loungers, chairs and tables, and seemed to go unused by everyone else. Downstairs, the main pool was spotless and relaxing, just right for the heat. Breakfast was a generous continental spread. I especially liked the machine for boiling eggs yourself. The owners were very helpful, and the hotel felt like a very good standard overall. It's handy for the train station, and about a 10-minute walk to the post and the lake. Desenzano itself is lovely to visit. The town traffic is busy, and the hotel is on a busy road, but we weren't bothered by traffic noise. Thanks for a great stay. I'd definitely come back and recommend it.

The bathroom was on the small side, though it was all very clean. The owners were lovely, and both the room and bed were great. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was more generous than I've found at most Italian hotels.

We had a comfortable, pleasant room, and the staff were both friendly and professional. Breakfast was a very good continental one. There's a pool with a jacuzzi and parking too. I'd happily recommend this hotel.

Everything in the rooms was clean, and the pool was okay. Breakfast was clean too. The problem was how little sound insulation there was. You could hear the neighbors showering or using the toilet, and the towels and bed sheets had an odd smell, almost like vinegar.
