Villa Giulia Appartamento 32

We loved relaxing by the pool during the day and cooling off there in the evening after sightseeing. The flat is in a quiet holiday villa with gardens and a communal pool, and it’s close to the lake, ferry terminal, shops and restaurants. It’s a 25-minute walk to the train station and 15 minutes to a nearby Aldi. The flat has what you need to cook at home, though plenty of places to eat are nearby. Internet and air conditioning both worked well. The apartment is managed by an agency, and I wasn’t very happy with the customer service I received. Apart from that, it was a lovely holiday.

We ended up cutting our stay short because the conditions were unacceptable. The garden was neglected and its fence was broken, so relaxing outside wasn’t possible. Exhaust fumes regularly came through the terrace railing from the underground garage below. The internet was very slow and unstable, the entrance gate key didn’t work, and the washing machine was jammed with wet laundry left by previous guests. The listing didn’t mention air conditioning, and what was there barely worked, so we couldn’t sleep properly. We have health issues and were travelling with a small child, but customer service showed no understanding and simply insisted everything was fine. Very disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The pool was a real bonus, and the shared spaces were very pleasant. This delightful B&B is near the lake and was spotlessly clean. The hosts were wonderful and efficient, and breakfast was excellent. We couldn’t have asked for better!

A peaceful spot with green spaces and a pool, just two minutes from the lake. The location is excellent.
