Raffy

We've visited twice with children aged eight and under. The kids always love the mini club, but it only runs in the afternoon and again after dinner. We adults like the breakfast and dinner menus, though the children usually don't eat the dinner options. If you're coming from the USA, you might consider the adjacent Hotel Helios, where breakfast is served until noon. At Hotel Raffy, we struggled to get jet-lagged kids through breakfast before 10am. The laundry service wasn't good. Our clothes came back damp three days later. Bar and aperitivo service was patchy, and there was no bartender before dinner service started. There were ongoing maintenance problems on both visits: a leaky ceiling in the hotel bar, clogged toilets, low water pressure, a dead lizard on the balcony at check-in that was dealt with right away, missing drain covers in the sink, bidet, and tub, and WiFi out in 2023. Lots of small issues. Reception seemed to try their best, but things still went wrong. The room bill always seemed to have mistakes. They also didn't tell us about the shuttle to the train station and couldn't book a taxi. The kids love it, and if you can shrug off the problems, it's okay.

The staff were available and lovely to deal with, and the food was very good too. Riders will especially appreciate the bike equipment at the hotel, which makes things easy. The rooms are fine for the hotel's level, though they may be due for a refresh soon. Good value for money. We had a really great stay!

The rooms have been modernised with air conditioning, larger TVs, fresh paint and Wi-Fi, and the balconies are great. I've made several new friends here over the years, Italians and Belgians, and hope to return soon. It's the coziest and liveliest hotel I know. I've tried several other three- and four-star places, but this one has the most family-like atmosphere and plenty to do, especially compared with other three-star hotels. It's a very good three-star family hotel, with friendly staff and good food. Kids have lots of activities, both at the hotel and on little excursions. There's a pool beside a small garden where they can play, plus an indoor playroom with animators. While the kids are busy, everyone can use the TV and computer room with couches, a table and books. There's also a veranda with table football, an outdoor relaxation area, a bar, a reception lounge and a large sun terrace with a beautiful view. Sometimes there's a barbecue with music on the terrace.

There's a big pool, and plenty of beaches to choose from nearby. A lovely family hotel, with a really nice mini club.
