The apartment is a lovely base for exploring the Dolomites, with the centre of Dobbiaco just five minutes or less away on foot. Shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, bakeries, St. John church, the ice arena, and the gym are all nearby. There are also beautiful walking routes, and it snowed during my stay, making everything feel like a winter wonderland. Christa and Peter were wonderful hosts. They made sure I had a great time and even picked me up from the nearby train station and took me back there. The apartment was quiet, cozy, very warm, spotless, and equipped with everything I needed. Just beautiful. The cheese factory is only a few minutes away on foot, with free tours, a shop selling lovely cheese and speck, and a cafe where you should try the local strudel. Dobbiaco was also a great starting point for the 2026 Olympics main resort town of Cortina d'Ampezzo and Christmas markets in Dobbiaco, San Candido, Brunico, Bressanone, Bolzano, and Trento. For skiing or paragliding, I could get to Sesto in 20 minutes by bus or Kronplatz by train. I'd definitely stay here again to discover this special part of Italy and the beautiful Dolomites.

The host welcomed us even though we arrived late, and helped with the facilities and recommendations. Really nice! The private apartment was cozy, warm, and comfortable, a great place to stay for a few days while exploring the Dolomites.

The hostess was very kind and ready to help with anything. The apartment is a convenient base for hikes to Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Lake Braies, Lake Misurina, and Lake Dobbiaco, as well as visits to nearby villages and their Christmas markets. We even made it to the charming Austrian town of Lienz, about fifty kilometers away. It’s about 300 meters from the centre of Dobbiaco and close to several supermarkets. Inside, it’s tastefully furnished, very clean, and has all you need for a peaceful stay, including a microwave and dishwasher. There’s a washing machine in another room outside the apartment. The bed is comfortable, and the bathroom has a separate shower and tub. I highly recommend it.
