Booking through www.bbcortebarbieri.it was a no-go for me. I emailed the owner, Mrs. Emanuela, at the address on the website to request a reservation. After a few polite messages on Saturday evening, I was asked to send a deposit to confirm it. I transferred the money on Sunday morning and sent a message with a copy of the bank transfer details. That afternoon, Ms. Emanuela told me to get my money back right away because she'd received an online booking that she couldn't cancel. I was shocked. I've never had this happen before. It left me feeling that online reservations take priority and that people booking through the email on the owner's own website can be dropped at any time. This could happen to others too, which is why I felt responsible for writing about it.

The wine, both red and white, was very good, and the traditional food was authentic and high quality. It was a wonderful experience. Go support the locals and get a little closer to their food culture. Check their page to reserve and book a unique food tour.

We arrived two hours early because of a translation error, and Emanuela hurried home to let us in. The host was nice, the view was beautiful, and breakfast was solid. The rooms looked just like the pictures. I'd stay again, 10/10. I lost the pictures from when we arrived, so the mess you can see is from our stay.

Emanuela was an amazing host. Our flight was so delayed we arrived at 3 am, but she got up to let us in and left a huge breakfast in the apartment. It was beautiful and bright, with a large kitchen diner and living room. The village is peaceful and quiet at night, and well located for activities if you have a car. Her homemade breakfast cakes and biscotti were the highlight. She also gave us some amazing restaurant recommendations, or you can stay in and have her homemade Italian dinner in the picturesque courtyard. We'll definitely visit again!
