The place is so peaceful, with charming villages nearby to explore and beautiful Ligurian beaches close by. The apartment has been renovated with great care while keeping its old-time character. Melita and Andrea were so kind and welcoming, and so were their children and their big dog, Boris.

There’s plenty of character in this apartment, a former olive oil mill renovated with care and attention to design. But the heating was faulty: only three of the eight radiators in the large apartment worked, and there was no hot water at all. Since we’d paid the fee well ahead through Booking, I expected the basic amenities to be in good working order. Check before booking that the repairs have been done.
