Lakeside Holiday Resort

We spent two weeks here with family and friends, and it was a really relaxing stay. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had new appliances, with everything we needed. We also liked having a table, chairs, and loungers outside by the pool, where the kids spent much of the day and the adults could unwind. The beach is about a two-minute walk away, there’s a supermarket roughly 100 meters from the resort, and the lakeside path is lovely. There’s a small bar run by the resort beside the pool, so you can get coffee, beer, or other drinks to enjoy there. The owner was welcoming and kind about our requests. The woman at reception and the bar even waited for our late-night arrival and was always smiling when we saw her. Thanks, Lakeside Holiday Resort!

A very good resort, and it wasn’t crowded. Make sure you have a car.

We ended up extending our stay because we didn’t want to leave, and we’re already looking forward to coming back. The location was great, with restaurants nearby, a supermarket close by, and just a short walk to the beach. There’s also a nice pool with sun loungers. The man at reception gave us a warm welcome and kept checking that we were happy. Our apartment was lovely and very clean, with towels and bedding that felt new, a good shower, and a kitchen. They’d also left thoughtful extras, including welcome drinks and a bottle of wine. Everyone was friendly and relaxed. I’d definitely recommend it.

We had a living room, bathroom, and bedroom, and it was brilliant value. The owner was very helpful with travel advice, and welcomed us with a cold drink and a bottle of wine in the room. From Colico train station, there’s a direct bus from Milan that takes about 20 minutes. I’d choose that over the four-hour ferry from Como, which is how we got there. Menaggio is also about 20 minutes away by bus and well worth a visit.
