Very clean, with a lovely pool, and it’s well placed for town and restaurants. Lisa was friendly and provided excellent, prompt service. These are the best apartments we’ve stayed in, with really comfortable beds and very good amenities. A few extra pieces of cutlery would have been useful. It’s a friendly place and feels safe for kids.

It was quiet at night, and we could sleep with the balcony doors open. Our balcony was comfortable for two, and the pool area had plenty of seating and loungers. Parking was always available. The location was great, just a quiet 5-10 minute walk from the lake and restaurants. The Nespresso machine, effective air conditioning, and blinds that kept out the daytime heat were all welcome. The kitchen utensils were limited but had what we needed. The road to the hotel is narrow, though less troublesome than some reviews suggest. A larger SUV might have a problem. There were a few things we weren’t happy with. Our Wi-Fi barely worked, if it connected at all, and the TV had lots of channels but everything was in Italian. The listing wasn’t completely accurate: there’s no hot tub on the grounds and no dishwasher in the room, so I think they meant a drying rack. We also weren’t told that we had to take out our own trash. I only found out at reception after seeing other guests carrying their bags out. Check-in felt unfair. We arrived half an hour before the stated time and waited about an hour. Several groups arrived after us, but as rooms became ready, the woman at the counter gave keys to people who had come later. The shower stall was cramped, and at 27 weeks pregnant I could barely squeeze through the doors. You also can’t run the stove and air conditioning at the same time.

The pool was okay, and getting into the parking area was a bit tricky, though not as bad as many reviews make it sound. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms quiet. But there was no soap in the room at all, and the owners suggested I use the disposable shampoo instead. The air conditioner was in the living room when it was needed in the bedroom. At checkout, we had to clean the room, wash the dishes, and take out all the garbage.

The church bells next door were really annoying, and no one came to our room during the stay to restock toiletries or make the beds. The balcony lights were broken, too. Although the rooms seemed fairly newly furnished, the quality felt extremely cheap, with everything from IKEA. Getting to the residence means taking a very narrow road where normal cars barely fit. Reception was chaotic, and no one spoke a language other than Italian. This wasn’t at all what I needed. It might be okay for a budget trip or just one night, but I can’t recommend it for a longer stay in the area.
