The man who checked us in was friendly, but the blonde woman at reception was rude and arrogant. Our room also felt a little dirty. For these prices and a four-star rating, I expected better. Were the hairdryers from the 80s?

Breakfast had some of the best coffee I’ve ever tasted. The staff were attentive and friendly, and there was an elderly woman, who seemed to be the owner, always making sure everything was in order. The hotel itself is beautiful, with lovely chandeliers in the restaurant, and the rooms are modern with very comfortable beds.

Dinner at the restaurant was one of the highlights of my trip, with some of the best food I’ve had while traveling. The staff were very friendly, and the rooms were nice and had AC. Even if you’re not staying here, you should come for at least one meal!

The hotel is old, though the rooms have been renovated, and the breakfast is a standard continental one. Some things in the rooms feel unsafe: the tub and shower are cramped and slippery, the large cupboard doors can pinch your fingers, and there’s loose paint on the wall directly above the bed. One staff member was rude.

Everything about our stay was awful. There was hair in the shower, the duvet was rough and faded, and the cutlery at breakfast was sticky with jam. The staff were rude and seemed not to care, and the food was barely edible. Dinner was rubbish too: the roasted potatoes were cold and dry, clearly left over from the day before, and the fillet came bleu even though we asked for medium. We raised our complaints and moved, but no compensation was offered. Avoid this place like the plague.
