The beach was gorgeous, with comfortable loungers and restrooms close by. It was a great spot to switch off and recharge. We also enjoyed the food, with varied, filling breakfasts and fresh juices to choose from, plus dinner options to suit different tastes. The staff gave us a very kind welcome and a full tour when we arrived. Veridia sits among Sardinia’s beautiful scenery, and there are activities like tennis and walks nearby.

The food was the highlight for me. We had full board, and the beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, the pork juicy and tasty, and there were loads of creative dishes. Get the right restaurant table and you can see one of the castle towers in the distance. The rooms were comfortable, though a little dated, and depending on where yours is, be ready for some steps. The pool is gorgeous, but it was really cold in October when we visited. I’d skip the nearby beach. They’ve tried adding sawdust to the sand, which felt weird, and crabs nibbled at us in the water. Better spots are only a 10-minute drive away. Oddly, we saw flamingos everywhere except at the beach with the flamingo pool. I’d definitely come back. Loved our stay.

The location is a real highlight, with beautiful scenery, a nice pool, and a lovely beach just five minutes away. They provided towels for both, which was handy. Parking was plentiful during our early October stay, though it might fill up in high season. There was no Wi-Fi in our room, and we didn’t try the portable hotspots reception offered. The welcome at reception was warm and thorough, and staff were generally friendly and helpful. But communication could be clearer. We were told there were three restaurants, then learned one had closed at the end of September. That made sense for the season, but it would have helped to know beforehand, on the website or at check-in. When we asked about it, staff seemed unsure which restaurant we meant. Our room had decent bedding and air-conditioning, and was comfortable enough, but it didn’t feel above average for this category. The furnishings and décor seemed dated, and the website photos didn’t quite match what we found. Cleanliness was my main concern. The en-suite bathroom was fine and the toiletries decent, though the shower was small and the water pressure weak. There was also a coffee machine in the room, which was nice. Breakfast had enough variety that there was always something to eat, though nothing really stood out to me. During the week, there were ongoing electricity problems, apparently due to local maintenance. We hadn’t been told at check-in, though the staff member who showed us to our room mentioned it in passing. The resort ran a generator during the day, which was a bit noisy but didn’t disrupt us, and we appreciated being told ahead of planned outages. It’s a scenic, relaxing place with potential, but better housekeeping, clearer communication, and some maintenance updates would help it meet its advertised 4-star standard.

A quiet retreat at a fair price, breakfast included, with plenty of activities and nice amenities. The staff were easy to deal with and tried their best to meet expectations. We especially appreciated being able to shower before driving to the airport. Check-in was a laborious process. We’d already provided much of the information when booking, but had to give it again and enter it ourselves manually. And the towels, cards, and wristbands felt like a bit much. Otherwise, it was a great, peaceful place to stay.
