Camping Magic Lake

We ended up staying longer than planned because we liked the place so much. The owners were friendly and found space for us when we arrived with our bikes and tent. The site is right by the lake, and its little beach was the neatest and nicest we saw. There’s a bar, with local pizza and pasta delivered when you ask. The pizza was good. The facilities block was scrupulously clean, with hairdryers, and there’s a small book exchange in the bar too. A large supermarket is a 5-10 minute walk away. The northern end of Lake Como feels much more relaxed than the heavily touristed middle, which I prefer. We could easily take buses and ferries for day trips, and we plan to come back.

It’s a peaceful spot that feels welcoming to families and pets. The rooms had everything we needed for a pleasant stay, and the breakfast was thoughtfully put together with plenty of good quality choices.

It’s a lovely little campsite right on the lake, with a pebble beach and decent sized pitches. The owners are lovely, and the bar is well stocked. We enjoyed the pizza made to order. If you’re heading to Como’s main attractions, the bigger towns are some distance away. Dongo is nearby, though, with easy bus links and boat service.

Chiara and her team were wonderful and very welcoming. They handled last minute changes to what we needed without fuss. Great facilities at this family run campsite, and I’d highly recommend staying here.
