10/10
The area has lovely scenery, plenty of wildlife, and different cultural attractions. Most of the visitors seemed to be walkers and cyclists, and there’s a restaurant about a 10-minute walk away for other meals. This is a restored farmhouse that keeps its historic features, in a breathtaking setting. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The owners were welcoming, kind, and helpful, and breakfast was stunning, with much of it made from local produce. We hope to return next year in late spring or early summer.

Breakfast was generous, with a savory option as well as the owner’s exquisite cakes, baked with care. The hosts were also very helpful with directions and information about the area. This historic residence has part of it set up as a B&B, with spacious, spotless rooms and roomy shared areas. The garden is modest, but pleasant and a delight to spend time in.
