Agriturismo Didone

Peaceful setting, beautiful views, and an incredibly tasty local dinner with drinks. Giovanni and the staff were wonderfully hospitable. What more could you ask from an agriturismo? Grazie mille!

Much of the food is made on site, from cheese, sausage, oil and honey to spirits. The wine comes from grapes grown elsewhere. A full dinner with drinks costs €28 and includes antipasto, primo, secondo, dolci, coffee, wine and a digestive. Without the secondo, it’s €20. Those prices seem fair for the quality. Breakfast is plentiful and very good as well. The rooms are simple, clean and comfortable, and ours had a splendid view. It’s a wonderful place run by a very nice family. Warmly recommended.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, with savory options alongside the usual sweet Italian fare, and they served something a little different each day. Dinner was a highlight too: generous portions of varied, delicious homemade food, all served with warmth and care. The staff were so friendly that we felt welcome right away, and they even arranged an early check-in at lunchtime, which helped a lot. Our cozy, clean room was surrounded by olive trees. In the morning we spotted donkeys and a horse from the window, just the kind of agriturismo experience I’d hoped for. What a great stay from beginning to end. I’ve been there for three years, and the food, rooms and service have all been exceptional. The owner is a really nice person and a great entertainer. Didone is also very reasonably priced. I’d strongly recommend visiting, even just for dinner.
