La Favorita Hotel

We booked just a few weeks before the trip and weren't expecting much, but I can't imagine a better place to stay in town. Our balcony room was spacious and clean, with a great view of the main road and sea. The road never got noisy. We spent a couple of hours each day drinking wine on the balcony and watching people go by. The staff were so friendly and the service was fantastic. The location felt perfect for this small, walkable town: between the busy harbor and the big beach, with a small beach right across the street. It was quiet, but the town center was a ten-minute walk or less, and the big beach outside town was easy to reach too. The restaurant food was very good, and hotel guests get a discount. 10/10, I wouldn't change a thing.

The beach location was great, and the staff were very nice. The administration was polite, the food at the restaurant was great, and our room was clean and pleasant, with a perfect bathroom.

The hotel was comfortable and well placed for the beach and local sights, and we had a pleasant three-night stay at La Favorita Hotel in Cala Gonone. Our room was roomy and clean, and set up for guests with reduced mobility. That meant the sink and mirror were lower than standard, which was a small inconvenience for us. The mattress was very comfortable. It was generally quiet, except early in the morning. Breakfast was included and worth it, with a good selection each day, including fresh fruit and tasty scrambled eggs. Paid parking just a two-minute walk away was convenient. The air conditioning was unreliable: it stopped on its own, leaving the room either too cold or not cool enough. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was the low point. We waited nearly two hours for our meals, pasta for me and grilled fish for my husband. After an hour and a half, the waiter seemed surprised we still hadn't been served. Other tables were delayed too, while some guests who seemed to know the staff got food much sooner. When it finally came, the fish was undercooked and the pasta was average at best. It felt overpriced and didn't live up to the hype.

The local food at the restaurant was delicious, and the view was amazing. Everything felt clean, quiet, and cozy, and the service was excellent. I'll definitely come back!
