Daniela was a lovely host and made us a delicious breakfast. We had a wonderful stay, with the hotel right by the lake creating a relaxed, romantic feel.

You wake up to an incredible view of Lake Como and the mountains, then there’s a lovely breakfast. The cold cuts, scrambled eggs, croissants, and coffee are all worth mentioning. After that, you can hike the mountain trails, spend time on a wild beach, or take the train to Colico for more of a resort feel, or to Dervio or Lecco. There’s plenty to see and do. The locanda's restaurant (MD) changes its dishes every day. We loved the ribs and pizzas, and our daughter had the "I tre porcelinni" pizza almost every evening. The prices are more than reasonable, and the sweets are works of art. There are lots of spots in the garden to sit with a coffee or glass of wine, read, or just listen to the wind. It feels like a little paradise inside the larger one that is Como. Everything is beautiful and clean, and the hosts welcome you into their lovely family and home. They’re kind, knowledgeable, and helpful people, and we never quite knew how to thank them. We’ll always stay here when we’re in Como.

The view over Lake Como and the mountains was great, and the room and service were excellent. Good food and very friendly people too. I’d definitely go back.

The restaurant was lovely and the food was super good. If you’re just passing by and hungry, it’s definitely worth stopping for a meal. But I wouldn’t choose the place just for that. For an Airbnb or hotel stay, especially if it’s your first time at Lake Como, I’d recommend one of the main areas like Lecco, Belaggio, Menaggio, or Varenna. This place is small and right on the outskirts, and getting around can be difficult without your own car. Not every train stops at this station, so you have to keep track of which ones do, and the nearest ferry station is Varenna. You could spend a lot of time travelling back and forth. Also, be aware of mosquitoes in the area. I was bitten badly, and my legs were red and blue.
