Corte San Ruffillo-Azienda Agrituristica

The estate itself is beautiful, and the pool area was a peaceful place to spend time, with plenty of chairs and umbrellas by the vineyards and a small bar for drinks. We stayed in a lovely room in a historic building apart from the main one, after asking for a view. The bed was comfortable, the country style decor suited the place, and the bathroom's chroma therapy lighting was a nice feature. A small fridge would have been useful, though it wasn't a problem. They said on Booking that wine or champagne was included, but we didn't receive any. One disappointment was the spa being closed. The booking sites all suggested it was available, but staff explained that in summer only the pool is open and in winter only the spa, which wasn't clear beforehand. It rained during our stay, so having the spa would have been great. Breakfast was served at a set table for each room in a lovely indoor coffee area, rather than as a buffet. It was mainly sweet, with croissants, excellent homemade jams, yogurt, coffee made to order, fresh juice, and tea. For savory food there was sliced bread and a few slices of ham, salami, and cheese, but no eggs or anything similar. The grounds are lovely, and there are charming villages and sights nearby. Even the drive through the area is attractive. There's no restaurant on site, but they suggested one nearby and we had a great meal there. The country house has welcoming staff and many kinds of rooms for couples or families. Parking is outdoors with camera surveillance. It's a good choice for a quiet weekend away from the city, as a couple or family, or just to spend the day by the pool, though there are some limitations. They host weddings and events, so ask about those and check which facilities will be open during your stay.
