Really friendly customer service and an amazing breakfast. Basic hygiene was good, and this is one of the best hotels for value for money.

The friendly cat at reception and the helpful staff in both reception and restaurant were nice, and towels and toiletries were provided. There are gluten free breakfast options, and the surroundings are quiet and peaceful, with amazing mountain and vineyard views. Still, I wouldn't recommend staying here. We'd booked 2 nights and were looking forward to it, but were disappointed as soon as we arrived and wanted to find somewhere else. The photos don't reflect reality. The place is really outdated and needs a general refurbishment. The room had no soundproofing, so we heard everything the neighbors did and woke up 4 times during the night. There was no air conditioning, the furnishings were old and some were spotted, and the curtain, mattress, and walls were spotted too. The bathroom was old, poorly lit, with a broken shower, rusty radiator, and old spots all over. A large grey spot marked the floor near the balcony exit. The old bed and mattress had lots of dust along the edges. Wifi was mostly nonexistent, there was no mini-fridge, and the elevator wasn't working. The key came with a very heavy key chain. Breakfast was poor overall, with 0 vegetables and way too many carbs, including bread, croissants, tarts, and cakes. The only hot dishes were scrambled eggs and pork sausages. The cold buffet had some cold cuts such as prosciutto and cheese.

Dinner wasn't good. After a 30€ meal, we were still hungry, and drink prices were abnormal, 5€ for half a liter of sparkling water. The breakfast was good, but the pool was very dirty. The room was okay, though grass was growing on the balcony. We paid 180€ for one night and had seen the pictures, so we expected a nice place. Once there, it seemed okay for around 50€ per night, but no more. At checkout I asked for a discount on our 284€ bill because I was more than unhappy with the stay. No chance, just an unpolite "not possible" from the very unpolite lady at the counter. My conclusion is that someone is making big money from a hotel that should have been renovated, or better demolished, 20years ago.

The staff were lovely and did their best to help, and breakfast had plenty of good options. The place itself is worn out, though: lots of things are broken, and the rooms have no fridge or coffee facilities. It could use a major facelift. Still, it’s cheap and serviceable.
