The countryside views were a big part of the appeal, and I’d recommend the place to anyone looking for that kind of setting. We visited in the off season and seemed to be the only guests in such a large estate, but the service, rooms, amenities, and food were all amazing. Breakfast was one of my favorites on my trip through Italy.

We had the pool and gardens to ourselves, and sitting beside the pool with a bottle of their own wine was a lovely way to unwind. The place seems generally geared toward weddings, but they made two English bikers feel very welcome. It’s set among its own vineyards, and we may have been lucky to be the only overnight guests.

The views outside were so good that staying in the room felt like a waste of time. The resort is excellent and sits in a really beautiful spot. The only small thing I’d change is a bigger TV in the room.

A quiet few days here had everything I could ask for: beautiful food, free wine, a lovely pool, and great staff. The old vineyard is beautiful, and the hotel itself is great.
