Camping Agrituristico Carso

The camping area is lovely, with good spots for tents and vans under the trees and the magnificent coast nearby. Staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a modern common room, a small shop, everything needed for a barbecue, and even a pool. You can hear cars from the nearby road at night, but that’s just part of life.

The walk to the beaches is manageable, though one short stretch follows a fast road with no sidewalk. Coming back means a steady uphill walk, plus stairs from the beach; at least most of the stair climb is shaded. We really liked this clean, well-planned campground. Its little shop sells things grown on the property, which gives the place a memorable touch. We tried the local beer and I’d recommend the Lager. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it.

There’s a lovely, peaceful feel here, with friendly, helpful people, plenty of shade, and a very nice pool. Getting to the sea isn’t especially convenient, so I’d suggest driving to the beach. Still, the welcoming atmosphere makes this a lovely place to relax and get a taste of Italy.

Only two of the four showers were usable: one wouldn’t lock and another had no light. You also need a swimming cap to use the pool. At reception, the service didn’t feel friendly if you didn’t speak German.
