The owners make you feel especially welcome, always ready to help with a natural kind of hospitality while still giving guests room for their routines. I’ve stayed in hundreds of places, and these two stand out. The apartments are spacious, with a great summer patio and a well-equipped breakfast area. My fellow travelers gave it four stars because they thought it was too close to the main road and noisy. But they didn’t close the double-glazed windows or switch on the air conditioning at night during a heat wave, either.

Michele, the owner, was welcoming and genuinely lovely, and we’ll definitely return. We stayed in Duino from August 22, 2025, to August 24, 2025. The B&B is on the road and has a small private parking area for at most two cars, but finding a nearby spot wasn’t a problem. The rooms are basic and very clean, and breakfast is generous with good continental choices. The bathroom was clean and simple. The only drawback for us Italians was that it didn’t have a bidet. They also accept dogs, which is excellent. Highly recommended.

The location is great for coastal walks, a swim by the charming harbor, and a visit to the beautiful castle and its former German bunkers. I stayed with friends at Stella Maris in August and found it very welcoming. The owner, Michelle, greeted us with a smile, and each morning we had a delicious breakfast. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless. I wholeheartedly recommend it :)
