La Terrazza

The place is close to central Empoli. We contacted them at the last minute because of a mix-up on our end, but despite the short notice, the lady welcomed us with great kindness and courtesy and immediately made herself available. The property is well kept and clean, and the rooms are warm and welcoming. Really well done.

The location was terrible, and the room was small for a price like a hotel. It was meant to be a house rented to one person, but instead it had been divided into three rooms. The terrace in the photo isn’t part of the house; it’s high up on the cold floor and unusable. Another photo shows a table laid with pastries, fruit, cups, and more, but breakfast wasn’t provided. They said COVID restrictions were the reason, even though the COVID emergency had been declared over in May 2023.

The owner is very friendly, and there’s excellent parking nearby. Guests can use a shared kitchen. Breakfast isn’t served in the room, but for a fee a café downstairs can bring it up if you ask.

The green room was beautiful and clean, and fresh water was available. The lady kindly explained everything when we arrived, and the staff were attentive. My only suggestion: disposable slippers would be useful after a shower.
