Breakfast is served in a wonderful cellar room, probably a welcome spot in summer. The charming building actually contains two guesthouses run by the same family. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and our room was large and clean, with the legend of Persephone on the wall.

In Enna Alto’s medieval quarter, this is a lovely, authentic little B&B.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The staff were rude and gave me wrong information. When I politely asked about it, they threatened to call the police, so I left quickly.
