Residence Vacanze Roma

The hosts were incredibly kind and helpful, and easy to communicate with about anything. The apartment was clean and spacious, with comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and much more privacy than a hotel. We rented a top-floor place with two bedrooms, a living room and kitchenette, and a bathroom. The large furnished terrace was where we had breakfast and spent our evenings. Shops and restaurants surrounded the apartment in the heart of the city, and it was a seven-minute walk to the sea with the kids. We had a wonderful, relaxed time and felt free to enjoy ourselves. We'd definitely return if we get the chance.

Marta was especially kind when she helped us sort out our car repair, and the rest of the staff were friendly and ready to help too. We stayed at Residence Vacanze Roma in mid-August and found the apartment roomy, clean, and comfortable, with a kitchen, dishes, air conditioning, and a balcony. Shops, cafes, and restaurants are close by, and it’s only a six-minute walk to the sea. It felt quiet and safe for a family trip. We had a lovely stay and plan to come back next year.

We wouldn’t recommend it, especially for the price, with another €50 charged for air conditioning. In 2022, we found the owners’ response disappointing: when we asked to see the apartment, they said it wasn’t available, even though it wasn’t yet summer. They said pets weren’t allowed, but we saw guests with a cat and a canary. The apartment is in a four-story building without an elevator, which was difficult with all our luggage. We felt the welcome and transparency were lacking, and I’d advise looking elsewhere.

The booking details left us confused. There was a €50 mandatory final cleaning charge, plus another €50 for extra cleaning if you didn’t do it yourself, and the site also said sanitization was mandatory. I watched the cleaner, and it didn’t look to me as if she sanitized. The deposit wasn’t mentioned on the website either. The apartment was in a good location and fairly clean, though there were cobwebs, and the stairs had sand on them. You can hear everything from the other apartments. There’s no elevator, which makes it difficult for people with disabilities.
