B&B La Pietra

The view was pretty, but being at the top of the mountain meant a very long walk up and down each day to reach the nearest train. The owners were rude, and there was no breakfast, so this didn't feel like a B&B. The little food and coffee provided had expired, and the room needed cleaning. I had to ask for everything at least twice. They seemed to care only about the money and weren't friendly. I wouldn't recommend it.

The only issue was a bad smell coming from the bathroom sink. Otherwise, everything was perfect: the ladies were very polite, and breakfast was delicious, with local products.

Getting to the B&B by GPS was difficult, and the neighborhood made a rough first impression, with litter, narrow streets, and little lighting. The location is convenient for Naples, which is easy to reach, and the host recommended nearby restaurants and pizzerias that turned out to be excellent. We communicated through Google Translate/WhatsApp without trouble. Towels were changed daily, and they washed the dishes for us, which was nice. The accommodation itself was clean, but there was no toilet seat. The double bed needs replacing urgently: its mattress was deeply uncomfortable, and I could feel the metal springs wherever I lay. There was also a cot that we used for our suitcases. The sliding door that closes the room still hadn't been fixed, even three months after the previous review. The garden and terrace could be made much more of. There's plenty for the owners to improve if the price is to match the quality.

The worst part came after the first night, when I had an absurd and very unpleasant conversation with the host. After minimizing the problems and interrupting me repeatedly, he screamed for about 20 MINUTES. He then showed me a new room and at first wanted to charge me a cleaning fee for the move. I felt unsafe because of his arrogance and rudeness, so I left quickly. I'd booked six nights and already paid for three before arriving. He demanded the payment, and I paid promptly so I could get away as soon as possible. Only the first night was deducted. He even threatened me, saying, "I hope you never show up around here again and that something worse happens to you in the next B&B," because I'd taken a shower and lain down on the bed in the new room, which I'd paid for. That first and only night was TERRIFYING, and the host's reaction was DISGRACEFUL. The air conditioning didn't work, there was only cold water, and the bathroom had a lake in it. At first the host was friendly, checked in person that the air conditioning wasn't working, and gave me a heater, but it didn't warm the room. I spent a COLD NIGHT wearing my sweater. Judge for yourselves, and stay away.
