The location was a real highlight, close to the archaeological park entrance and the train station, with views of the Ercolano excavations and the Gulf of Naples. We stayed six nights in this newly renovated, very clean apartment, which had two twin rooms for our group of four. Donatello was an excellent, helpful host. There was plenty of space, comfortable beds, a table, a huge TV, and free Wi-Fi. The garage parking is 50 metres away. Great value, and I highly recommend it.

Being close to the archaeological site was great, and the accommodation itself was clean and neatly furnished. The toilet seat was broken, though. We had booked a room overlooking the site, but on arrival the landlord said there had been water damage and moved us to another room facing the main road. He said it was bigger and nicer, and we agreed since it was only one night. That evening we found roommates there too. It turned out he'd lied, and I still don't know why. Breakfast was disappointing as well: a voucher for a coffee and pastry at a bakery on the main road, with no proper place to sit.

The building's exterior was unlike any B&B I've seen, and it was clean with a direct view of the Herculaneum ruins. The staff were exceptionally kind and came across as knowledgeable. They took their time giving me all the information I needed. Our weekend in Ercolano was memorable, and I highly recommend the place.
